'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' Beta Review: All The Things That Make It A Huge Improvement Over The First Game
C. de LacyThe Open Beta period of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" finally ended, and we'll just have to wait for the official release of the game. For those still contemplating about getting it, especially those who were disappointed in the first title in the series, "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" might just change that impression.
Folks from Capsule Computer Australia have kindly provided an insight of what's to come for returning fans and new comers for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2." Here are some of the game's stronger points compared to the original title in the Xenoverse series.
Environment
Instead of the old Toki Toki City, players now get to roam around an entirely bigger city called Conton City. The good thing about it is despite being a larger place to meet with other players and do lots of activities, there isn't a single a loading screen at all between transporations.
Unlike the first game, "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" also has a number of mini hub areas like Frieza's ship or Planet Namek. These places adds more things to do in the game.
Combat and Gameplay
The battle mechanics have been vastly improved over the original game as it is now faster and at the same time, easier. A number of new moves have also been added like controlled kamehameha and a revamped dash mechanic.
These improvements adds several layers of strategy in the game, making it feel more fresh for longer periods unlike the first game that felt like a cheap gimmick once on the later stages.
Combos have also been tailored for those who would like to pull-off crazy strings without getting restricted to limited movements. Players can now connect moves available for the character along with super attacks.
The main character of the game, which is the player's avatar' also gets more customization options and even the ability to transform into different forms depending on which race is selected and not just for the Saiyans.
Overall
So far, "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is already getting well-received even on its beta stages and fans have all the reasons to be excited for the official release, which is just a few days away.
