'Overwatch' Sombra Update: Community 'Sick And Tired' Of Teasers; New Hero Heading To BlizzCon 2016?

Blizzard's once exciting alternate reality game for "Overwatch"'s upcoming hero Sombra has reached an all time low this week, and most players are now sick and tired of all the teasers the publisher is throwing at them.

The community has finally reached its breaking point trying to find out when Blizzard will actually release the new character in the game. The final blow was dealt by countdown website amomentincrime.com, which has reached 100% recently.

Instead of finally getting a conclusion, or at least a solid clue, after the long-winded chase for Sombra, players are presented yet another cryptic message, which translates to this:

... Connecting ...

... Protocol v1.95 Sombra started ...

... finished Transmission - ending load ...

... Charging complete. Bastion unit E-54 compromised ...

Some players in the community are still willing to play the guessing game with Blizzard, but one Redditor, stylishg33k, has had enough of all the teasers, and posted a plea on Reddit that pretty much reflected what the majority of the community feels about the whole Sombra issue right now.

On the Reddit post, which was so popular that it reached the number one spot on /r/all within minutes of posting, the Redditor expressed how frustrating the ARG has become. "Let me start by saying some of the ARG stuff is cool. Like the website or small hints in game," the Reddit user said. "However all this Sombra 'hype' has reached a point where I'm completely sick and tired of hearing about her."

The Redditor also asked Blizzard not to do this kind of marketing on any more future hero releases. "And if this is how every hero is going to be treated from now on, I worry every character will be released to disappointment rather than excitement," the Redditor pointed out.

Despite all the frustration surrounding Sombra's release, most people are still betting for "Overwatch"'s new hero to be finally revealed at this year's BlizzCon. Stay tuned for more updates.
