Nina Dobrev No Longer Returning In 'The Vampire Diaries' Season 8 After Ian Somerhalder’s Wife Appeared?
Kirsten Kane"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 is one of the most anticipated TV series, and though it just premiered, rumors and speculations have continued to swirl on the web, mainly about the cast.
Latest reports suggest that Nikki Reed, Ian Somerhalder's wife will have her appearance on the show instead of Nina Dobrev who has already decided to leave in the Season 8.
It has been said that the reunion of Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder is hardly possible in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 as the "XXX: Return of Xander Cage" actress has rejected the offer of the executive producer, Julie Plec for a major comeback in the vampire series.
There were speculations that say Dobrev doesn't want Nikki Reed to join the show because she doesn't want to be the source of any trouble among the "Twilight" star and Ian Somerhalder.
However, there were also reports that state, Julie Plec will do everything to bring back Nina Dobrev as Elena Gilbert and reunite her with Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) as he believes that it's the only way to get a high rating.
Celebrity Laundry reported that Julie Plec in an Interview with Entertainment Tonight "has just about guaranteed that Nina Dobrev is returning for the final season."
"I know that [Nina] 100 percent wants to be there and I, of course, 100 percent want [Nina] to be there," the showrunner said when asked about Nina, reprising her role as Elena Gilbert.
The source added that "If Nina Dobrev doesn't come back Julie Plec blames it on scheduling - and she'll be completely devastated if there isn't some sort of compromise." Plec is very optimistic that the odds are in their favor.
However, there were speculations that suggest that if Dobrev will reprise her role, it is not going to be for Ian Somerhalder but for Paul Wesley who is her love interest in the beginning of the show.
Previously, it has been reported that "The Final Girls" actress has been negotiated to return for the final season of "The Vampire Diaries."
"We collectively came to the same place," Pedowitz told reporters about the decision to end The Vampire Diaries. "We backed Julie[Plec] in her decision...there are discussions going on with Nina, we'd love to have her back...These are discussions that go on, hopefully she'll be back, but should it not work out, Julie has planned out a great series finale for fans," Mark Pedowitz told E!News.
Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder has not yet confirmed any of the rumors and speculations stated above so let's stay tuned on "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 which is aired every Friday on the CW to know what fate awaits for the said characters.
