It remains a mystery, however, how Dobrev's character will return in "TVD" Season 8 since her life is tied to Bonnie's (Kat Graham). There are speculations that either Bonnie will die or she will transform into a vampire, which would wake Elena from her long slumber.

Whatever it takes, many Delena fans are looking forward to Somerhalder and Dobrev's reunion since the actress left the show in Season 6.
