iPad Mini 5 Not Cancelled, With March 2017 Release Date Instead? Specs Likely Similar To iPad Pro 2
Anish AsokanLike some of Apple's products, the iPad Mini line is one of the hottest topics in the tablet market. However, some analysts consider it as an abandoned project.
However, Ming Chi-Kuo, a reliable Apple analyst, predictsed that an iPad Mini is on its way next year and in all probabilities would have similar specs as the iPad Pro 2. With all the Apple events concluded for the year, there is a good possibility of seeing the new iPad Mini 5 in March 2017, according to PC advisor.
The Mini 5 is expected to be thinner in design according to the MacWorld. There are reports that it might be the last in the line-up and even could possibly be renamed and be added to the iPad Pro 2 family. Many expect the device will be largely different from its predecessor in both performance and design.
In all likelihood, the new device from Apple should be fuelled by the A10 processor chipset. With iOS 11 slated to be launched next year, we can anticipate the IPad Mini 5 to be running on the new operating system from Apple.
Many speculate the new device to have a minimum of 2 GB RAM and the internal memory capacity to vary from 16 GB to 128 GB based on the iPad Mini 5 variant.
Similar to other recent Apple upgrades, we anticipate that the Mini 5 will abandon the 3.5 mm standard headphone jack. Perhaps the USB-C port could be introduced, while the battery pack would be lower compared to that of the iPad Mini 4.
Like many analysts and Apple fans, we can hope to see the upcoming Apple tablet to have a noteworthy upgrade. Stay tuned for more updates on the IPad Mini 5.
