The Japanese just got another great reason to buy Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone! According to The Verge, NTT Docomo, the number one Japanese mobile carrier has confirmed them that one variant of the Samsung Galaxy S3, named the SC-06D, will have 2GB of RAM along with a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor.
The Verge report also reveals that the Docomo model will also feature some additional features like 1seg TV tuner and and will be compatible with Docomo's Xi LTE network. But all these features will be exclusive for the Japanese market.
Samsung, just before the release of Galaxy S3, unveiled its 1.4GHz Exynos 4 Quad processor and made announcement that the new processor along with ARM Cortex A9 would be part of the "next Galaxy phone." But the company included the quad core processor only with devices launching in Europe and Korea. While the European version will run on 3G, the same device will run on LTE in Korea. But for the US market, the company will launch only dual core and not the quad core Qualcomm processor.
The 4.8-inch Galaxy S3 that's powered by Android's latest Ice Cream Sandwich and packs in 16/32/64GB internal memory, Near Field Communication technology, 8MP camera with zero-lag shutter speed and a monstrous 2100mah removable battery, also provides some exciting and never-seen-before features like S Voice, Smart Stay, S Beam, Pop Up play, Direct Call, Smart Alert, Social Tag, AllShare Media and more. Samsung has also provided a C Pen stylus that's made with an aluminum body, a 3mm rubber tip, and a finish to match Galaxy S3 design.
The fabled Samsung phone 3G version will be releasing on May 29 and will hit the European market first. The phone will arrive in Japan and South Korea sometime this summer. Countries, that are to receive only the 3G version of Galaxy S3, will get the phone only after European rollout and the probable US release date is June.
