French video game developers and publishers Ubisoft has some good news for all the Far Cry fans. The company has announced that they are set to release a two-week "Far Cry 3" multiplayer beta this summer.
The beta will co-op up to 16 simultaneous players per match and players will experience the game's online mode and maps. As per reports, up to six classes will be made playable and players will also have access to a host of different weapons.
Ubisoft has also assured that the beta will give players the opportunity to customize and upgrade their weapons according to their wish, and will give the testers a chance to go through the teamplay-focused experience. The company is also looking to provide the gamers with a taste of the game's impressive and rich gameplay elements.
These elements will include barrel bombs, combat sliding, psyche gas, zip-lining and other unique stuff that are not always found in games. However, the multiplayer beta can only be accessed via invitation and Texas-based video game retailers Gamestop are set to provide invitational code for PowerUp Rewards members. These members will receive a code when they purchase a copy of "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Solider."
Nonetheless, a few may not be intimidated to buy "Ghost Recon" and spend money on Gamestop. There is a second option for them - Ubisoft will be giving out five hundred beta codes on Facebook to people who "Like" their page. Interested people just need to hit the Like button and hope that they get an email notification when the beta launches.
If that doesn't work as well, waiting for the game to release on September 4 will be the only option left, according to a Gamesradar report.
