Apple Watch 3 2017 Release Date Set With iPhone 8? New Wearable To Feature New OS, 3D Touch Functionality And Micro-LED Panels?
Kirsten KaneThe Apple Watch 2 was just unveiled last September, but now several fans are looking forward to the company's next move, particularly on its upcoming 2017 Apple Watch 3.
There were reports suggesting that the highly anticipated wearable might come out in September 2017, only a year after its predecessor was released. Some rumors stated that the device may arrive together with iPhone 8 or in April 2018 since the original Apple Watch was released in April.
"Apple doesn't seem to see the Apple Watch as a device which needs refreshing every year, so don't count on seeing the Apple Watch 3 before 2018," as reported by TechRadar.
Although the company has not yet given any details about its upcoming Apple Watch, rumors and speculations continue to surface on the web.
The Apple Watch 3 is said to carry the same features of its predecessor such as the Global Poisoning System, Dual-Core Processor and Water Resistance. However, as a successor, it is expected to enhance the features of the previous models and make significant changes.
According to PCAdvisor, "the Apple Watch 3 will come in range of models, colours and a choice of straps. This means that a price will have a large range depending on how basic or flashy you want to go." The company is also expected to work in partnership with Nike or other famous brands.
Other rumors suggested that the upcoming wearable may come in round edges with titanium or platinum case and might feature a FaceTime camera for video calls and selfies. However, there were reports that said Apple Watch 3 will come out with a square 1.65-inch display.
Moreover, the next version of Apple Watch may consists Magnetic Wristband, a multifunctional strap that will serve as a protective case and can also be rolled up to make a stand.
Speculations have it that the third-generation smartwatch might pack a longer and more improved battery life, fast wireless charging and new health sensors. It is said to run on a new operating system.
It will likely sport Micro-LED panels which is more brighter than OLED and might also feature a 3D Touch with additional functionality.
The Apple Watch 3's release date is still unconfirmed as of press time.
