Apple fans are hoping that the upcoming Apple Watch 3 will have an improved battery compared to its predecessor. This will allow users to do more with their smartwatches for a longer period of time.

Longer battery life

Daily Star reported that the battery of the Apple Watch 3 will not anymore run out of power. This could be because of a possible introduction of a "connector-free magnetic charger/winder" for the wearable device. The technology is believed to improve the battery life of the next Apple Watch.

The smartwatch is also expected to be more power efficient when used with the iPhone and iPad. There may also be a way to link the devices for them to use lesser power.

Release updates and design

According to PC Advisor, the Apple Watch 3 could be released alongside the Apple iPhone 8 in September this year. Many are also expecting that new Apple Watch models will arrive next month with about 4GB to 8GB of storage.

It was also added that Apple Watch fans would want to see a circular design in addition to the usual square option of earlier models. The wearable device could also have an LED screen which is expected to improve user experience and enhance the features of the device.

Smartwatch band

In addition, Macworld UK noted that the Apple Watch 3 could be released with a new multi-function band which is said to have magnets to attach both ends together. It would provide a better feel and hold on the smartwatch when worn by the user. The strap is also thought to function as a stand when the Apple Watch 3 is not worn.

There is also the expectation that the next Apple Watch would have a front-facing camera which could be placed on the top bezel of the gadget. The shooter will be of great use for those who want to take selfies or do video calls when on the go.
