Fans are excited to see the makers of "The Witcher" come up with a similarly amazing game, if not better. Luckily, CD Projekt Red's next IP "Cyberpunk 2077" looks really promising, despite the lack of details.

We could, however, trust the words of the producer of "The Witcher 3" himself. During the Golden Joystick Awards pre-show, John Mamais, who is currently acting as the executive producer of "Cyberpunk 2077," said that the game will be, in his own words, "really, really, really f**king badass."

CD Projekt Red has amibitious plans for "Cyberpunk 2077", and is hoping to surpass the level that "The Witcher" series has set, according to Eurogamer. This is why the studio is not putting the game out there unless it exceeds all expectations.

"'Witcher 3' set a certain bar and we definitely cannot go lower," CD Projekt Red's co-founder Marcis Iwinski said. "It's always about improving and making new, pretty stuff, storytelling games and mechanics and what not."

Fans are excited to find out what multiplayer features will be in store for "Cyberpunk 2077," but they would have to wait for now. With the game's massive features, it looks like people would have to wait for the game to be fully realized. Luckily for us, we may not have to wait for that long.

CD Projekt Red would still be within its self-imposed deadline as the Polish studio set the release of "Cyberpunk 2077" between 2017 to 2021, if its 2015 Financial Results are anything to go by.

The same financial report also mentioned that another AAA RPG title is planned within the same release window, along with continuous active marketing and support for its earlier titles, "The Witcher" and upcoming spinoff title "Gwent: The Witcher Card Game." Given that timeframe, players may get to see "Cyberpunk 2077" anytime in 2019.

CD Projekt Red has already confirmed in an interview with Eurogamer that the studio will not be talking about "Cyberpunk 2077" until the game is ready. With that said, it looks like fans won't be hearing from this game in the next couple of years.
