Alaric of "The Vampire Diaries" is said to appear in the Episode 8 of "The Originals" Season 4. This decision is made when the newest Big Bad arrives at Mystic Falls and puts the lives of his twin daughters at risk.

This is the fourth time a "Vampire Diaries" character has appeared on "The Originals." The first one was Michael Trevino crossover, whose character Tyler seek revenge from Klaus. In season 3, the two-part episode crossover made characters Matt and Stefan both showed up in TVD and "The Originals" spin-off for their own purposes.

This time, Alaric is bound to grace episode 8 of "The Originals" season 4. He goes to New Orleans to bring a "priceless artifact" to Elijah in order to save the lives of his twin daughters from a big bad.

According to TVLine, the big bad is called Arcadius, or better known as 'Cade'. Although there's limited detail as to what Cade can actually do, it is expected that the villain will make the lives of Caroline and Alaric, as well as the twin daughters, miserable.

As per synopsis of upcoming "TVD" episode on December 2:

"When her children become the focus of the Siren's latest plan, Caroline takes drastic measures to ensure nothing gets in the way of keeping her family safe. In a race against the clock, Stefan pledges to do everything he can to save the twins, while tensions between Alaric and Caroline boil over, leading them to face some harsh realities about the future of their family. Meanwhile, when Enzo finds himself unable to fight off Sybil's latest move, Stefan dives into his subconscious and along the way, sets off a chain of events that leaves him faced with a life-changing decision."

"The Originals" Season 4 episode 8 will air a week after "The Vampire Diaries" season finale, according to Buddy TV.  This also brings speculations that Matt Davis' character may stay permanently in the former, alongside Caroline. Many reports also claimed that this is logical since Klaus' love interest, Cami died in the previous season. And it may rekindle romance between Caroline and Klaus.

This possibility, however, is yet to be confirmed. Fans might have to wait until "The Vampire Diaries" season finale airs and "The Originals" Season 4 episode 8 premieres a week after that.
