The next DLC of "Total War: Warhammer," the arrival of the much awaited Wood Elves, is just around the corner. This week, Creative Assembly reveals more information about the newest Legendary Lord included in the update, the mighty Durthu.

Legendary Lord Durthu

Durthu is one of the Elders of Athel Loren, and was the one who has first forged a union betwen the Elves and the forest. A once welcoming spirit, the years of witnessing destruction and violence has taken its toll on Durthu. From the gentle Elder to a crazed destroyer, Durthu seeks to trample anyone who tries to enter his sanctuary.

Creative Assembly has also released a list of Durthu's skills in the game. Check them out below:

Sword of Daith - Durthu's blade can unleash a wave of power in battle, damaging nearby enemy combatants and sundering their armour for a time.

Rage of Kurnous - The fury of the forest is made manifest in the deeds of its warriors. Rage of Kurnous grants a factionwide weapon strength buff.

Eldest of the Ancients - Through his connection with the earth, Durthu protects those near from its ravages. All units in his army are immune to attrition.

The Lore of the Beasts - Durthu is a powerful combatant and spellcaster. Wielsing the lore of beasts, he can summon Manticores directly to the heart of battle.

Howl of the Forest - Durthu charges his troops to fight for Athel Loren, for their souns are tied to its fate. Allies near Durthu receive a melee attack buff.

Violent Delights - There's no greater thrill than battle in the forest's name! Violent Delights brings major increases to Durthu's weapon strength.

The addition of the new race in its upcoming DLC, named "Realm of the Wood Elves," was announced by the developer earlier this week, confirming previous rumors and speculations.

"With a rich suite of lore-inspired campaign and battle mechanics, 'Total War: Warhammer''s first Elven race offers a playstyle unlike any other," says publisher Sega in a statement. "Ranging forth from the enchanted forests of Athel Loren, they may capture any settlement in The Old World and set up expansionary outposts. In battle, they offer a swift, glass-cannon playstyle.

"By far the most powerful and versatile archers in the game, they can equip a range of magical arrows, fire on the move, and are often joined by their Woodland allies such as Dryads, Great Eagles, Forest Dragons and vast, ancient Treemen."

The latest DLC of "Total War: Warhammer," "Realm of the Wood Elves," will be available on Dec. 9.
