Many Holloywood stars are rumored to appear in the much-anticipated a capella movie "Pitch Perfect 3."

With Elizabeth Banks no longer on board to direct "Pitch Perfect 3," Universal has chosen Trish Sie as the director for the next installment.

Now that the movie has a new director, rumors are rife that there are also additional casts on the next sequel.

Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson were the first stars to be confirmed to return for the third film, reprising their roles as Beca and Fat Amy. Brittany Snow and Hailee Steinfeld also signed on. Moreover, Anna Camp has signed on to reprise her role as Aubrey Posen.

According to some sources, top celebrities are now joining the movie. Miley Cyrus will be joining the cast of the box office hit's sequel, according to IMDB. Another new face on the set would be the teen pop sensation, Justin Bieber, whose role is still under wraps. However, no official announcement has been made yet regarding this rumor.

"Pitch Perfect 1," which was released in 2012, was a box office hit that garnered a gross sale of over $115 million. The sequel is currently the "highest grossing musical comedy film of all time." It gained a gross sale of $287 million. With the success of the first two movies, fans are expecting "Pitch Perfect 3" to surpass them and further skyrocket to a new level of hits.

The film has changed its release date several times. Given an original summer date of July 21, 2017, the "Pitch Perfect" 3 was then pushed back to Aug. 4, 2017 before returning to its original date. Most recently, Universal again pushed the film back ; this time for a holiday season release of Dec. 22, 2017.
