Tecno BOOM J8 Review: Great Music, Fast UI, & Par Performance

Ribhu .

The Boom J8 is a successor to the Boom J7 and a redesign of the much loved Boom smartphone, which was released in the second quarter of 2015.

The TECNO Boom J8 accompanies TECNO's new redone User Interface called the HiOS, making the gadget one of the fastest responding smartphones available in the market. It is beautiful and fulfilling to hold as much was put into the design of the gadget.

It spots a 7.35mm with a 3.5mm edge. It is one of the slimmest 5.5"inch display smartphones out there. It is amazing how easy it is to hold this 5.5-inch smartphone because of the brilliant design it is packed in; holding a 5.5-inch phablet is actually hard to hold.

For those who are into music, this device is a boon. The Boom J8 brings in itself the next level of surround sound system. It is a tricky mix of award winning waves innovation customized into its BOOM Maxx application and the amplifier nature of its BOOM earphone - the combination of which makes listening audio on this phone a truly memorable experience.

The Boom J8 recognizes a 13MP back/5.0MP front AF, geo-tagging double cameras with optical image stabilization (OIS) innovation for catching clear and incredible images even in motion.

Talking about the hardware details, the smartphone runs on a 1.3 GHz Quad Cored processor and a 2GB of RAM which is capable of handling multi-tasking quite efficiently, if not so great. It has an internal memory of 16 GB which can be expanded up to 128 GB through the means of a microSD card.

The 3000 mAH of battery on the Tecno Boom J8 promises one day of survival on normal usage which includes listening to music. With its power saving technology, you can go on for around three days on a single charge. The phone has a standby time of seven days.

The phone is a great choice for music lovers, but if you use the smartphone for high-end gaming and other memory hogging activities, the Boom J8 is not recommended.
