Bioware has showcased the latest installment of the "Mass Effect" franchise, "Mass Effect: Andromeda," at this year's The Game Awards, and the way they described the game sounded oddly familiar.

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" New Gameplay Trailer

Bioware has revealed its latest gameplay trailer for the much awaited action role playing game during the awards show. Check it out below.

Most have praised the latest trailer's visuals and all the new features shown like crafting, which reminds you of the crafting feature in Bioware's other video game "Dragon Age: Inquisition." However, the narration reminded people of something else: Hello Games' controversial open space exploration game, "No Man's Sky."

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" Vs. "No Man's Sky"?

The narration in the trailer mentioned phrases like "brand new, epic sci-fi adventure set in a vast, explorable galaxy," and also said that some worlds are uninhabitable. To be fair, it does remind you of "No Man's Sky," as the folks at Hello Games said some similar things about their own game.

Both games are set in space, and involves exploration and survival, but the similarities end there. To the "Mass Effect" fan, "No Man's Sky" is nowhere near "Mass Effect: Andromeda" in scale.

As Forbes pointed out, while both games feature exploration, the "Mass Effect: Andromeda" universe has less planets compared to "No Man's Sky"'s 18 quadrillion. But what the planets in "Andromeda" lack in number, they make up for substance.

Each planet has something that sets it apart from other planets in the game, if what the trailer states is anything to go by. Unlike "No Man's Sky," "Mass Effect: Andromeda" actually has a story to tell, and that alone makes it incomparable to Hello Games' overhyped title.

What The "Mass Effect: Andromeda" Team Learned From "No Man's Sky"

If there's anything that the Bioware team learned about the "No Man's Sky"issue, it is most likely not to deliver an incomplete game. After all, the fanbase deserve nothing less.

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" is originally slated for a Holiday 2016 release date, but was pushed to the first quarter of 2017. The game will be launched on the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and pre-orders are now available at the Origin Store.
