A Complete Guide On How To Move Photos And Videos From iOS To Android Without Losing Them [VIDEO]
Portia Mae M. CansancioRegardless of today's great success in digital imaging and device interconnectivity, sharing photos, videos, and more can still be hard --- especially between devices that run different platforms. Users need to know how to manipulate devices in various forms.
Since the creation of smartphones with exceptional cameras, one has not simply forgotten to capture every bit of life's prized moments. And with the addition of internet connectivity amongst devices, people have started to share these moments with their friends and family. Thanks to modern technology's creation of smartphones and base platforms such as Android and iOS, capturing moments is just one touch away now, according to Android Authority.
Transferring photos and videos onto an Android device is not an easy job, although it would not be that hard once you already get the hang of it. Any Android device needs a Google account, so create one or use an existing one. Connect the Android device to the computer via its USB cable and go to My Computer; from there, you will see your device and all of its files. After which, copy the desired photos or videos and paste these to the computer.
The same goes for the iPhone. Use its USB cable to connect to the computer. When the device is detected, right-click on the iPhone icon, then select Import Pictures and Videos. The computer will then commence a scan on the device for images and videos found in the user's Camera Roll. Once the scan is done, click Import to begin copying the located pictures and videos.
To copy files that a user wishes to have in their Android device: using its USB cable, connect the device to the computer and go to a subfolder called DCIM --- this is where images and videos are usually located. Copy the desired images and videos in the folder. From there, users can now preview the images and videos that they just copied.
Pretty much the same goes for iOS devices. But while videos captured or transferred by the user can be viewed, it depends because some will require third-party media player applications for viewing, said TechAdvisor.
