Star Wars's Rogue One, Set To Hit $150 Million Opening

It has been reported that "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" is expected to be the biggest hit of the holiday season in the big screens.It is also being eyed to be a huge blockbuster hit for the year, next to "The Force Awakens". 


For United States alone, the movie is set to bag $150 million hit with at least another $10 million tally from the projected ticket sales of the foreign countries. "Rouge One" is considered the second largest holiday season opening, next to the $284 million of The Force Awakens. On its official release in December 16, 2016, movie theaters are expecting an average of $12.5 million in day one. 


Other Movies To Expect


While the Rogue One targets just about any age group, Will Smith's "Collateral Beauty" hopes to appeal to the older movie goers.The New Line and Warner Bros's movie took around $35 million in production. 
"Fences" is this year's Paramount Pictures contribution to holiday movies. Along with the Star Wars movie and Collateral Beauty,"Fences" will take the big screens this weekend. Being the only adaptation movie for this year, producers hope to set an appeal to a different set of audiences.

The creators of Despicable Me will release "Sing", an animated adventure movie. Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt will appear in "Passengers" and there is also Assassin's creed to expect; a video game adaptation movie. 


Promising Reviews for Rogue One


Reviews have been very kind for Rogue One even before its release. As early as today, they are celebrating the success of the Star Wars movie. Rogue One will start dominating the world on Wednesday and Thursday as it opens in Denmark, Brazil, Germany, Australia, Netherlands, Indonesia, Sweden, France and United Kingdom. On Friday it will begin to dominate other remaining countries such as Japan, Spain, and Venezuela and other parts of the world.
