Red Oppo R9S To Go On Sale On Christmas Eve; See Specs, Features & Price [VIDEO]
Vinay PatelA bright red variant of the Oppo R9s has been released and tech pundits believe that it will take the global smartphone market by storm, thanks to its bright and captivating tinge.
It is worth noting that the R9s' red version boasts the same specs and features as the standard version. But even though Oppo is trotting out this phone as the 'little power phone", multiple sources claim that the only difference in comparison to the regular version is its eye-catching red back shell and the company's logo with Chinese actress and singer Yang Mi's autograph. Oppo will start shipping pre-ordered units on Dec. 24, 2016.
The red Oppo R9s is also banking on its shade to lure customers. But while the rest of the world is no stranger to such colors, many Western countries are used to sedated color options instead. The color red is a major attraction in China and Oppo is hoping to sell a good number of the red Oppo R9s in the country and beyond.
Red Oppo R9s Specs, Features & Price
Despite undergoing a cosmetic overhaul, the red Oppo R9s will bear the same specs as the standard version. For instance, the device will be powered by a Snapdragon 625 chipset and sport a 5.5-inch full HD display. It will also pack 4GB of RAM coupled with 64GB of internal storage capability, as well as a 16MP primary and 16MP rear camera combo with f/1.7 large aperture. Moreover, the red Oppo R9s will pack a robust 3010mAh battery and Netcom network support, Techvicity reported.
With no changes in terms of specs and features for the Oppo R9s' red variant, its price is also expected to remain the same. The red Oppo R9s will also be up for grabs for CNY 2,799 (around $403), according to Chinese website MyDrivers (via XiaomiToday).
The Oppo R9s was originally launched in rose gold, gold, and black. However, customers who will get a hold of the red Oppo R9s are eligible to get Yang Mi custom notebooks, custom postcards, spree, and more.
