Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Release Date, Specs and Updates: Improved Battery Coming with Next Installment
Nens MitchellAfter the Samsung Galaxy Note 7's battery issues and explosions, fans of the brand are hoping that it will come up with a well-improved and powerful next installment. One major area Samsung needs to work on is, of course, the device's battery.
All-new battery
Recent reports indicate that Samsung is trying to source out the battery for its upcoming device from a different supplier since that from Samsung SDI and ATL had overheating and exploding issues. This major problem marred the anticipation of the fans for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 which also ended in a recall of all devices.
It is believed that Samsung is having discussions with LG Chem for the battery of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Though there is still no definite details from the company, analysts believe that the discussions will continue and that Samsung is not rushing to close a deal.
Release date and production update
As for the time frame for the next phablet's development, Samsung could finish developing and producing the batteries alone in a span of six months. This means that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 could either be released next year or in 2018.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 specs and features
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is thought to run on a Snapdragon 830 chip which has not yet been released nor announced. Using this chipset will enable the next flagship device to function with a high-end and fast processor.
Also, the next installment could have a dual-camera technology since this is already something that users look for in a smartphone. The iPhone 7s has a powerful zoom camera aside from its usual rear shooter and this was also introduced by the Huawei P9 and the LG G5.
Wishlist of fans
Other items included in the wish list of fans for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 include a waterproof design, an iris scanner and an improved S Pen stylus. What do you expect from the next phablet release of Samsung?
