Next Generation Apple Watch Uses Biometric Identification

And speaking of which, this timepiece is about to release another detail that would surely catch the buyer's attention.
Identifying the User Based on Vein Patterns. Seeing an ordinary looking wristwatch detect the owner's specific traits is usual only in cinemas, however, it's different in a real life scenario. That is why the upcoming Apple Watch is expected to wow the world with its unique biometric identification feature.
As reported by MacWorld, Apple had filed a new patent application which involves producing a heart rate sensor on its device that will identify the user of the Apple Watch by just basing on the vein patterns. Basically, this will help the user to perform functions like turning on Apple Pay or unlocking their Apple device, just like how the Touch ID works by using a fingerprint to unlock the iPhone.
The future Apple Watch was published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and first spotted by AppleInsider. It uses a pulse oximeter to distinguish the vein pattern on the skin and if it matches its owners' pattern, that's the time when it would perform its functions such as using the Apple Pay or unlocking.
Meanwhile, a report from PhoneArena shares about how the wristband itself will have a tech inside it with specifics of a "Band attachment mechanism with haptic response." This only shows how Apple is preparing for a big possibility of merging some technology directly on its strap. The proposed design contains a haptic engine and other hardware integrated into the Apple Watch's strap and working together with the device itself.
