A Classic Villain Might Return To 'Resident Evil 7: Biohazard'
Gloven RamosAccording to Digital Trends, if a recent datamine of the "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" demo is true, we will see the return of Albert Wesker, the classic antagonist in the game. The report added that Albert's last name was never mentioned directly in the game code, but his name "Albert" was repeatedly mentioned like the one file which contains a line "LastBossGetAlbert."
In the end of "Resident Evil 5," Albert Wesker turned into a monster and was then blown with a rocket launcher and died. But the game world is full of zombies and other supernatural beings, so the return of Wesker in the latest game is not impossible.
Others speculate that this is another new character with the same name of Wesker. As the Eurogamer report cited, this could be another Albert, but that would be quite a coincidence.
Why would the developer create another character with the same first name when there are so many unused names still out there? Why not, then? Creating a new character with the same name to the previous character in "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" is not a big case after all.
Another rumor about the game is another old character might also return in the "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard." Last October, Capcom released a few teasers and one of these videos featured a female voice that some critics believe is from an old character.
"Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" will be released on January 24, 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. The game will also available to PSVR for VR gaming.
