‘GTA 4’ Liberty City Will Soon Be In ‘GTA V’ By Mod Makers OpenIV
Cris Xander JulianoLiberty City, a map in "GTA 4," will soon co-exist with Los Santos, a map in "GTA 5," according to a report by Gamespot. This mod will be released by the OpenIV community to recreate the Liberty City as single-player DLC for the "GTA 5." No date of release has been announced as of this writing.
The people who are working on the mod started the project since the release of "GTA 5" on PC and stated that it will not replace the city of Los Santos, rather, it will just co-exist across the ocean in the game.
Liberty City, the game itself, will not be placed inside "GTA 5" to avoid any legal issues. Instead, gamers should own both the "GTA 4" and "GTA 5" games for this mod to work. A downloadable tool will only extract Liberty City from "GTA 4" to create a DLC pack, it can then be patched into "GTA 5."
According to a report by PC Gamer, the mod will work within episodes from Liberty City but not in multiplayer. Rockstar, the developer of "GTA" games, does not allow mods in "GTA Online", consequently, there is a good chance that players who will use this mod would probably get banned.
Rockstar has been releasing regular official contents for both "GTA 4" and "GTA 5." Just recently, the latter received an update with new modes and a double XP event. Meanwhile, "GTA 4" received its first patch in six years.
"GTA 5" has been very popular with PC gamers up to this day as over six million copies of the game have been sold in the UK alone.
What do you think of Liberty City being patched into Los Santos? Are you willing to use this patch and risk being banned by Rockstar? Let us know what you think and share your comments down below.
