This new offering which boasts of high-end specs is being considered as a potential Microsoft Surface Pro killer. The idea of building the Lenovo Miix 720 was drawn after thorough research on the portable PC needs and expectations of millions of users through a feedback survey.
Lenovo Miix 720 Specs Update
The tablet was built with the sole purpose of mobility in mind. It is as thin as 0.57 inches that are, 4.6 mm and weighs 2.4 lbs/1.1 kg inclusive of the precision touchpad-enabled keyboard. The tablet, however, thin is still able to sport a 12-inch QHD+ touchscreen that offers a 2880 x 1920 QHD resolution which delivers crisp and clear video output. As reported by Mspoweruser, the battery provides a power support to a maximum of 8 hours. It is also equipped with a USB port for charging phones that will always be on even when the PC is off.
The Lenovo Active Pen 2
The Lenovo Miix 720 spec also includes an integrated infrared (IR) camera along with Windows HelloTM that enables instant face recognition to unlock the detach. The Lenovo Active Pen 2 allows users to use the shortcut button for opening emails. The pen also provides pressure sensitivity at 4,096 levels that enables users to have a precise drawing experience, similar to the one on a paper and it also conveniently clips into the pen holder.
Lenovo Miix 720 Additional Specs
The Miix 720 also sports a USB-C connectivity allowing users to power up to two 4K monitors through Thunderbolt 3. The keyboard is backlit and comes with full-sized keys. The keyboard offers 1.5mm key travel that enables fast and accurate typing. The tablet also comes with a 5 MP rear-facing camera. The added advantage of the rear camera is that it offers rapid data capture features, as reported by CNET.
Lenovo Miix 720 Price & Release Date
The improved kickstand will now offer a 150-degree rotation which makes it smoother and more rigid. The Lenovo Miix 720 tablet is priced at $999.99 along with the keyboard. The tablet is available in two color variants. They are Champagne Gold and Iron Gray. The tablet will hit the stores by April 2017. The detachable Lenovo Active Pen 2 will be separately sold for a price of $59.99. The Lenovo Active Pen 2 will be on the retailer shelves from February 2017.
