The Las Vegas CES 2017 tech show was a fruitful one especially for those who have been anticipating the unveiling of the new AMD Radeon Vega graphics card. The new cutting-edge Radeon Vega graphics card from AMD is said to be released commercially in the first half of 2017.

After several months of rumors and speculations about the AMD Radeon Vega features, AMD has officially released some technical teases about its newest Radeon Vega graphics card at the Las Vegas CES 2017. It can be remembered that the video game community has long been anticipating AMD's response to Nvidia's top performing GeForce GTX 1070 and GTX 1080. The teased AMD Radeon Vega features did not disappoint the video game community as it is said that the new Radeon Vega graphics can actually compete head to head and even surpass the powerful GTX releases from Nvidia

In the December preview of the AMD Radeon Vega 10 graphics card featuring Doom. The AMD Radeon Vega 10 was able to smoothly perform at a rate between 60 to 70 fps with settings placed at Ultra on 4k resolution. The AMD Radeon Vega 10 performance was impressive considering that the Nvidia GTX 1080 did not even make it to 60fps.

The new AMD Radeon Vega unveiled at CES 2017 will also carry the torch for AMD's high-bandwidth memory (HBM) cards. The AMD Radeon Vega features the next generation HBM 2 and will also have AMD's revolutionary high-bandwidth cache controller. AMD's HBM 2 has two times the power in bandwidth per pin compared to its HBM predecessor.

Also, the new AMD Radeon Vega is said to be able to not only work harder but smarter compared to other chips in the market today. The AMD Radeon Vega features a draw stream binning rasterizer which can improve performance while reducing the power needed by utilizing the high-bandwidth cache controller incorporated in the AMD graphic chip.
