HMD Global’s Nokia 6 Android 7.0 Nougat, 16 MP Camera; Specs and Features
Ralphy Bonn SimHMD Global officially announced the first upcoming range of Nokia Android phones. The company now owns the rights to Nokia mobiles. The Nokia 6 is built in a mid-range smartphone and has a design that is distinctly Nokia.
It was launched this January 2017, carrying a 5.50-inch touchscreen display along with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels at a PPI of 403 pixels per inch.
HMD Global's Nokia 6 was declared officially at its website and is powered by 1.1GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor equipped with 4GB RAM. It uses Android 7.0 Nougat and packed with a 3000mAh which has a non-removable battery.
The new Nokia 6 measures 154.00mm in height, 75.80mm in its width, and 7.85mm in its thickness and also weighing 167.00 grams. An expanded 128 GB micro SD card is added to its 64GB internal storage. It also made with a 16 megapixel primary camera; features an auto focus face detection and dual tone flash along with 8 megapixel front shooter camera which is good for taking instant selfies.
Nokia 6 is made in a dual SIM smartphone that accepts GSM + CDMA. The connectivity choices include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G 4G, GPS, FM, and USB OTG. The device sensor is combined with Proximity Sensor, Gyroscope, Ambient light Sensor, Accelerometer and also Compass Magnetometer. For its built-in speakers; it is packed with Dolby Atmos Tech and dual amplifiers.
The device is exclusive in China as of now, and is only available online at JD.com with a price tag of around 1699 CNY or $245.38.
"Nokia 6 symbolizes the first step for the Nokia brand joining Android smartphones with more to come in H1 2017," said HMD Global.
Nokia was established at Finland in 1865, the brand was known for its mobile devices and telecommunication equipments. It was the former largest manufacturer in the mobile industry but the company recently sold its Services and Devices to Microsoft last 2014.
