Pokemon Pikachu Wears Vulpix Poncho to Celebrate Sapporo Pokemon Center's Redesign

Sapporo's local Pokemon center has been redesigned to match with the white landscape of Hokkaido during the winter snowfall. Accompanying the center's redesign is a new version of Pikachu which is inspired by the little fox Pokemon Vulpix. The Pokemon center is giving away newly designed goodies to celebrate the new games "Pokemon Sun and Moon" and the Alola Forms of their Pokemon.

New Pikachu plushies are now available at the Sapporo Pokemon Center. The first version is a Pikachu wearing an original fire-type Vulpix poncho and the other version is a Pikachu wearing an ice-type Alola Vulpix poncho. The plushies of Pikachu wearing Vulpix ponchos are available to buy for 2000 yen/$17.
According to SG Café report, there are also metallic key chains available in both original and alola types of Vulpix available for 600 yen/$5 each.
For those who want to try out the Vulpix poncho themselves, you can grab one at the Sapporo Pokemon Center for 4,800 yen/$41.
Anime News Network reported that the Pikachu wearing Vulpix ponchos will be available as pins, clear files, golden lacquerware and stickers. The products will be available for pre-orders starting Feb.1 2017 at Amazon.co.jp. and will go on sale on February 11. Other Pokemon such as Marowak, Raichu and Meowth in their Alola form are also available as plushies.
