The Second 'Pokemon Sun And Moon' Global Event Is Another Huge Failure
Jason GlennThe second global mission of the "Pokemon Sun and Moon" ended last January 9, and once again the Pokemon players have failed and did not reach the goal set by the Global Link Website. In order for the players to achieve the goal they have to scan and capture over one million Pokemon where they could have won useful festival coins.
Polygon reported that the online competition requires players to take advantage of the "Island Scan" feature in order for them to locate and at the same time battle with other players with their Pokemon. The "Pokemon Sun and Moon" players must then make sure that they registered and update their progress using the online Global Sync Function later on.
If the players had reached the one million mark, the could have won 2017 festival coins where it could be used in the Festival Plaza online where they hosts some events that would help increase their Pokemon's strength. Even though the players were not able to meet the goal, they were still able to receive 217 festival coins as a consolation prize for joining the event.
On a lighter note, even though the "Pokemon Sun and Moon" players failed, the Japanese Global Link site stated that they were still able to do better job than the first global event released last year. The trainer only made 16.4 percent during the first global mission while the second garnered over 661,839 that means that the players made 66.2 percent improvement.
One of the reasons why the first ever Global event failed was because players might have no idea that they have to register and go through the process in the Global Sync in order to participate in the said event. We'll have to wait for more global events and maybe they could lower their expectations in order for the players to achieve the goals.
