'Kingdom Hearts III,' 'Final Fantasy VII' Remake Release Date Still Unknown
Rommel"Kingdom Hearts III" and the remake of the "Final Fantasy VIII" have long grown the anticipation of millions of gamers worldwide. It has been a decade since the last installment of the two games, Kingdom Hearts II and Final Fantasy VII. And just as the fans thought a big announcement will come about when Tetsuya Nomura agreed to be interviewed, it seems like it still is a long road to wait for these two game.
Director Tetsuya Nomura had revealed that both games are not close to being finished yet. Gamers will have to be a little more patient as the director said the two games will take longer time before they get sold in the market. In the Japanese magazine, Famitsu, he stated: "I am sorry that gamers will need to wait longer for the release of the two games: Kingdom Hearts III and Final Fantasy VII Remake."
However, the silver lining to it is that there is something to look forward to and players know that these two games are under way. He added: "We are constantly progressing into the development of this games."
According to Nomura, "Final Fantasy 7" Remake is already developing at a fast rate while Kingdom Hearts III still has a long way to go when it comes to finishing and eventual release. This is unfortunate for those who have been waiting in anticipation for the titles to get released. Square Enix seems like they are having a hard time to produce games even at the best of times. Players can only hope that FF 7 Remake will not suffer the same fate as Final Fantasy Versus XII as its fiasco turned the game announcement in 2006 for PS3 to a Final Fantasy XV route on 2013 then released eventually in 2016.
Years had passed before the spinoff and titles for Kingdom Hearts III was announced three years ago. The last game designed from the console was Kingdom Hearts II, which was launched in 2006. On the other hand, Square Enix initially teased the remake of Final Fantasy VII in E3 of 2005 as it was lauded as one of the most popular role-playing games ever. It was a technical demonstration of the opening sequence of the game and what it would look like on then-upcoming PS3.
Fortunately for fans of Kingdom Hearts, they will still be able to play Kingdom Hearts 2.8 - a solid collection of games which will be released for PS4 this January. Birth by Sleep -- A Fragmentary Passage, a short game built on the same engine as Kingdom Hearts III is included in the pack.
