Nintendo Switch To Add 'Shovel Knight' In Its Banner

Even before the official unveiling of the Nintendo Switch, game developer Yacht Club has already announced that their popular retro-style platform game, "Shovel Knight," will be available for the new hybrid game console from Nintendo. Not only is Yacht Club making the game available for Switch, avid fans of the game is up for an exciting ride as the game developer has a lot of exciting twists and improvements added to the video game.

Though an official "Shovel Knight" Nintendo Switch release date is yet to be announced by Yacht Club, the game developer has already announced a number of changes that players can expect when the popular platform game arrives in Switch. The popular video game is up for a name change as it will already have the title "Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove". a

One great news for "Shovel Knight" fans is that the entire saga of the game will be launched for Nintendo Switch. This means that the Nintendo Switch game version will have "Shovel Knight" plus its two expansion "Plague of Shadows and the yet to be released "Specter of Torment". PC, Ps4 and Xbox One Shovel Knight players will automatically have in their libraries the "Treasure Trove" collection along with all future updates to the video game for free.

But before the actual launch of "Shovel Knight" Nintendo Switch players of the video game will get some added treats. A Body Swap Mode will be introduced to the game which will be launched simultaneously with the "Spectre of Torment" expansion. A new campaign, King Knight, will also be made available in the last quarter of 2017. A Battle Mode and a new local two player co-op mode will also be introduced to the game.

For those who don't have the video game yet, it is recommended that you get your copy now. The Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove campaigns will be sold separately when it is launched for the Nintendo Switch.
