'Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy': Everything You Need To Know About The Gameplay, Release Date And More
Vinay PatelReady to take a dip down memory lane, ardent fans of Crash Bandicoot series have been restlessly waiting for developer Vicarious Visions to shed more light on "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy," an upcoming platformer video game that unifies remake of the first three games in the series.
Much to the delight of Crash Bandicoot fans, it looks like the "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" could hit the store shelves sooner rather than later if recently surfaced reports proved to be true. So, here are more details about the fuzzy orange creature himself and latest news, trailer, gameplay and release info about the PlayStation exclusive video game.
The highly anticipated "N. Sane Trilogy" is basically a remastered assortment of the aboriginal Crash Bandicoot titles comprising the first three games in the series. All three aforesaid titles were released back in the 1990s for the original PlayStation. The compilation will center on Cortex Strikes Back, Warped and the titular character, Crash Bandicoot.
The remastered compilation is associated with a 2017 launch exclusively on PS4. The exact release date is likely to unveiled at E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) 2017, which is slated to kick off June 13 in Los Angeles, TrustedReview reported.
Another report coming from Express cites a Brazilian retailer that accidentally spilled the beans about "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" release date pointing at a Feb. 28 launch. Aside from that, the report also reveals that the complete "N. Sane Trilogy" will be up for grabs for £44 (about $53). Notably, the said release date coincides with the launch of another PS4 exclusive title, "Horizon Zero Dawn."
Regrettably, the "N. Sane Trilogy" is not likely to take things to the next level in terms of gameplay as it aims to flawlessly remaster the original games. Although every level of environmental puzzle, boss battle, and sound effect has been tweaked with quality that's nothing short of awe-inspiring, it plays like a title from the mid-90s.
On the brighter side, every item from the original games including side-scrolling bonus stages, Aku-Aku Masks and Wumpa Fruits returns bearing a newfangled cosmetic appearance.
In terms of exclusive features, "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" boasts a unified save system across all three titles, enhanced audio and remastered visuals. In other words, the players do not need to launch the games separately in order to play different levels. Moreover, Sony has also confirmed support for PlayStation Pro, allowing players to experience the platforming classics in an impressive 4K resolution.
Sony unveiled the remaster at E3 last year, following a title announcement at PlayStation Experience 2016. You can watch the debut gameplay trailer below.
Fans can also check out 3 minutes of nonstop gameplay from the opening level.
