'Raw' Cannibal Horror Movie Gets More Graphic Red Band Trailer; Viewers Reportedly Got Sick At TIFF

Rather different from various cannibal films that moviegoers see, "Raw" is still one of those that are expected to be great. Horror fans can now take a sneak peek into the movie with two different trailers.

"Raw" is about an aspiring veterinarian, Justine (Garance Marillier), who enters veterinary school. The thing about Justine is that she is a vegetarian. However, she gets a taste of meat for the first time during a school initiation. Slowly, her far-fetched hunger for meat builds.

As mentioned, there are two trailers available now for "Raw." The first one was the green band trailer. It's toned down for the majority of viewers. The next one is the red band trailer which is more violent and shows more graphic images.

"Raw" is directed by director Julia Ducournau. According to Gizmodo, the movie will be released this March but only for a limited time. It could then extend from there.

Sure enough, each big horror films that went out in the cinema would have a number of viewers leaving the theater earlier. There is no exception with "Raw." As expected from a graphic cannibal movie, multiple moviegoers passed out while watching the movie.

"An ambulance had to be called to the scene as the film became too much for a couple of patrons," Ryan Werner said as reported by Collider. Werner is marketing representative at TIFF. The said incident happened last September 2016 during the Toronto International Film Festival.

Before being shown in theaters, "Raw" was invited to various film festivals. A lot of movie reviews came out and, instead of getting negative buzz, it actually got rather positive reviews. It even scored awards from film festivals like Cannes and Sitges. It was also reported that because of "Raw," TIFF was mobbed with top agents and managers wishing to sign Julia Ducournau.
