Bethesda Softworks (Bethesda), publisher of "Dishonored 2," has just announced in its blog post that it will be launching a significant update to the popular video game. The said major update will be officially released on January 23 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

This exciting news from Bethesda has provided avid fans of "Dishonored 2" added excitement for the future of the video game. It can be recalled that game developer Arkane Studios has just released the first major patch for the game just last week. The earlier released patch was launched as a free update and has introduced a new Game Plus mode to the video game. With the new mode, a player is given the chance to play the game all over again.

The recently launched "Dishonored 2" update patch also allowed players to use both the powers of Emily and Corvo regardless of which character a player chooses in the play through. With the second update announced by Bethesda, several improvements that were supposed to be included in the first update along with other upgrades to the game will be introduced.

In the announced "Dishonored 2" update, custom difficulty settings is said to be introduced in the video game. This update will allow players to tinker with 20 sliders to adjust the stealth effectiveness in the game. Another slider called Iron Mode will also be added which is said to be a level above the current very hard level of the game.

Some video game pundits noticed that the updates that are being introduced in "Dishonored 2" are the things that players of the video game have long been clamoring for. It seems that Arkane Studios is making amends for the rather disappointing launch by finally listening to the game's fan base. The "Dishonored 2" update will first be launched in beta  for Steam on January 18.
