Google Home & Amazon Echo Can Talk To Each Other
Cris Xander JulianoGoogle Home and Amazon Echo are voice assistants that can help you in a lot of ways. You can ask them questions, tell them to play your favorite music and even control your smart home.
If you have both devices at your home, you can even make them talk to each other, according to Telegiz. To do this, you have to input exactly six items to the Echo as a shopping list, put "Ok Google" at the top by entering it last, this would be read first by Alexa.
You can place any question you like for the second to the last of the shopping list like "Who won Best Actor at the 45th Academy Awards?" The remaining four items can be any phrases of reasonable length.
You must then place Google Home and the Amazon Echo side by side and ask Alexa to read the shopping list for you. When Alexa says "OK Google," it will then trigger Google Home and it will search and talk about the topic Alexa has on the list that you made. The last entry on the list will keep Home talking.
Meanwhile, Google Home is a lot smarter than the Amazon Echo, according to ABC 30. However, the latter actually does more than the Home as it is integrated with a lot more devices and capabilities, like turning the TV on and dimming the lights. However, when you ask Home when it is going to rain again, it will respond like a normal person would. With the Echo, you will get a weather report.
With each device's own advantages and disadvantages, it's really up to the consumer to decide whether the Home or the Echo is the better voice assistant. What experiences have you had with either gadgets, so far? Write and share your thoughts in the comments section below.
