"Justice League vs. Suicide Squad" #5 apparently has something to look forward to after four issues down, and more so with the alleged death of Lobo. Spoilers may be seen below for the fifth entry in the graphic novel series.

The fourth installment showed how two of the most iconic DC factions butt heads, with Max Lord falling short of his first goal of taking down Waller's collection of metahumans with the original Suicide Squad. It can be recalled that the latest point of intrigue came from Batman's "killing" of Lobo using Waller's nano-explosive, but the story does not end there for Lord.

According to CraveOnline, "Justice League vs. Suicide Squad" #4 may have shown how Lord temporary failed in taking over Waller's collection of heroes and villains, but his bigger plan is still afoot. Lord acquired Eclipso's diamond, which allowed him to control the more powerful members of the Justice League. Lord's goal is to have the members run the United States in 15 minutes or less, starting with The Flash disassembling the nuclear and atomic weapons all over the globe.

Next, the Green Lanterns surround Earth in five minutes with a barrier to stop any extraterrestrial interferences, followed by Aquaman securing the shores and water mass. Wonder Woman gathered the "leaders" of the government and contained them, as Cyborg locked down all communications. Lastly, Superman and Max Lord took over the White House, showing how Lord is the victor of the battle-but the war may still be far from ending.

There are still members of the Suicide Squad left, including the Caped Crusader. For now, nothing is known on what the remaining side of good can come up with to save the world and remove the grasp of control from Max Lord. The "Justice League vs. Suicide Squad" #5 issue comes to stores January 18, 2017.
