Zahara Jolie-Pitt's Biological Mother Wants To Reconnect With Angeline Jolie's Adoptive Daughter

It was 12 years ago when Angelina Jolie adopted Zahara Jolie-Pitt. After more than a decade, the young girl's biological mother reportedly wishes to re-connect with her daughter.

Zahara's biological mother is an Ethiopian woman named Mentewab Dawit Lebiso. Lebiso is living in a poverty-stricken part of Ethiopia. Apparently, the woman was forced to give her daughter up for adoption after getting raped and pregnant. She was also sick at that time.

However, even after 12 years, Lebiso still wants to see and talk to Zahara. She did claim that Angelina Jolie had been "more of a mother to her [Zahara] than I have ever been," according to an interview with Daily Mail. She also emphasized she did not want to take Zahara away, only that she wants to talk to her.

"I just want her to know that I am alive and here and long to be able to speak with her," Lebiso said. "I do not want my daughter back but just to be in contact with her and be able to call her up and talk with her."

Lebiso also said that she knows Zahara's birthday. However, she feels sad that she wasn't able to celebrate any of those with her. She also spoke about Brangelina's split, commenting that this will not affect Zahara's upbringing. However, if she was to choose, she would want Zahara to stay with Angelina Jolie.

Zahara's biological mother is asking the actress to at least let her speak with Zahara. As of writing, Jolie has not yet commented on the issue.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are now fighting over custody of the kids following their divorce, according to Entertainment Tonight. Their adopted children are Maddox, Zahara and Pax. Shiloh was the couple's first biological child, followed by fraternal twins Knox and Vivienne.
