Backstory Of 'Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild' Uncovered By Fan Using Hylian Language
Nicole T.Nintendo Switch and "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" are two of the most anticipated releases this year. Both of these have been breaking grounds; with Switch being one of the most innovative consoles out there. There's also "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" ushering in a huge change in the "Zelda" gaming experience.
Fans already know some details about "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild." Apart from being released for Nintendo Switch, fans also expect it to be visually breathtaking. Trailers and teasers of the game show the world of Hyrule that can be openly explored. The visuals are amazing, with a gameplay that is improved from past titles.
According to "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" official site, there are still a lot of familiar things with Hyrule then and now. However, these were enhanced, covering familiar landscapes and activities. However, what fascinates fans now is that a backstory to "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" has been released. This is all thanks to a very observant and rather patient fan with the username Zeltik.
Just last week, Nintendo held a tree house event. Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime shared a map that could only be found in the limited edition of "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," according to The Wolf Hall. Apparently, behind the map was a tapestry with what seemed to be the backstory of the game. However, it was written in Hylian/Sheikah language.
Still, Zeltik was able to translate the tapestry. First, it was translated to Japanese and then to English. Here's what it said:
"Hylians pass stories of a destined time long past, where multiple races lived and worked together in harmony. The Sheikah Tribe's blue aura breathed through the land, and this mutual prosperity continued, until a cataclysmic disaster struck. The hero and the princess attempted in vain to seal the terror, which became known as the Calamity Ganon. Divine Beasts awoke from four directions, and deployed a mechanical army which made the king and his people fearful. They fractured Ganon's power and sealed him. But the Sheikah were banished from the land ever since."
Zeltik has claimed only 4 percent margin error. On his video, he talked about the process of translating it.
