'Tom Clancy's Division' Update: Are Fans Getting A ‘Last Man Standing’ Battle Royale DLC? [VIDEO]
Rei LantionIt certainly seems within the realm of possibility, given the hypothetical scenarios Ubisoft released in a recent Tom Clancy's "The Division" survey. Intended as a focus study for The Division's latest Survival DLC-released late 2016, there were a few questions that certainly caught players' attention.
Specifically-worded questions coupled with recent datamined information from the 1.6 patch have led some to believe that the game could be getting a Hunger Games-type DLC. According to Mstars News, a "Battle Royale" game mode would make perfect sense following The Division's Survival DLC.
It's well-liked by fans who favor "last man standing" games "such as King of The Kill." It is also apparently a previously requested game mode by players, and Ubisoft-like many game companies-are considerably accommodating of fan input.
YouTube user "Arekkz" uploads a video, succinctly summarizing the more notable points of the survey. According to Game Rant, he makes a pretty good point regarding the advantages of introducing a Battle Royale game mode for "Tom Clancy's The Division".
It may be just what Tom Clancy's "The Division" needs to reinvigorate the fans and player base. Game Rant further reports that despite players losing interest over the last couple of months, perhaps due to lack of in-game diversity or options. Ubisoft has done a good job of getting them back and a "last man standing" DLC may be exactly what they need right now alongside their promised 1.6 patch update.
The final question in the survey was much more direct and asked fans what they wanted to see in the next expansion for "The Division." The options given hinted at even more exciting possible content including a brand new city and even a whole different time period.
While the possibility of a Battle Royale mode remains as mere speculation, the fact that the game developers suggested it themselves is very promising. Whether fan get it or not depends heavily on how "Tom Clancy's The Division" players answered the survey.
