New Evernote 8.0 iOS App: Simpler, Faster & More Features
Gloven RamosEvernote released a new iOS note-taking and organization app this week. The app called Evernote 8.0, seeks to make the user's experience faster and simpler.
The company's latest Evernote 8.0 iOS app has been rebuilt with the hopes of giving users the ease of use. As reports suggest, it is now easier and lighter to use with lesser command buttons on screen.
2016 hasn't been a good year for Evernote according to CNET. There was a backlash against the brand's new pricing structure and an uproar over changes to its privacy policy. To keep their loyal users after these issues, they released the Evernote 8.0 app that focuses on the core features its users love.
Many options are gone from the last company's app. Now, with Evernote 8.0, users can present their notebook immediately, and quickly add new notes by tapping the plus button on the screen.
As cited by an Engadget report, Evernote's chief product officer Erik Wrobel claimed that the Evernote 8.0's goal is to spend less time navigating and more time getting stuff done. The design is reminiscent of the company's web interface that featured a minimalist style for years.
Evernote 8.0 has more white screen space and lesser green color, which is the company's iconic color. There are only four buttons on the app's screen, for adding photos, voice clips, drawings and other files.
The Evernote 8.0 might not seem very different to some users, but this new company's app makes it easier to focus on users' note rather than being distracted by not so important options. Users can now finally format the text's style and color, and separate their personal and professional notes.
Users can now download the Evernote 8.0 app on the Apple App store. However, the company didn't release any announcement about the app's Android version as of writing.
