Sony Xperia Z3 Plus & Z3 Plus Dual Latest News: Android 7.0 Nougat Update; Improved Battery Life, Multi-Window Features
CJ EstimadaSony continues to up its game as it delivers the Android 7.0 Nougat software upgrade to Xperia Z3 Plus and Z3 Plus Dual (the dual-SIM version). Sony is now seeding the update to a small percentage of the Xperia Z3 Plus and Z3 Plus Dual, but this should spread to a larger audience in the coming days.
The same system update was accessed by Xperia Z5 and Z5 Plus a few days ago, with firmware number 32.3.A.0.372. It is said to be the same on all of the Japanese multinational telecoms company's handhelds.
STAMINA Mode Equals Improved Battery Life
Sony's latest software update showcases better battery life that is attributed to Android's more efficient Doze system, as reported by Android Authority. With Android 7.0 Nougat software upgrade, users can now do more for up to two days' battery life. Choosing which to prioritize during performance or standby times is one of the changes to its propriety battery saving features -- the STAMINA Mode.
Android 7.0 Nougat Upgrade Added Home Screen Features
With the Android 7.0 Nougat upgrade, multi-tasking is made easy. Apart from battery-saving aspects, Xperia Z3 Plus and Z3 Plus Dual users may run two apps at the same time, as well as switch between them by double-tapping with the Multi-Window support.
Moreover, users need enough space on their mobiles since the Android 7.0 software update comes in at more than 1.3 GB. It also contains the December security patch, as noted by Phone Arena. A timer to the selfie camera has also been added.
Along with this Android 7.0 Nougat update on Xperia Z3 Plus and Z3 Plus Dual, a ton of bugs were squashed to bring the most stable experience possible. Users are in for a treat, as Sony set its sights on being the first Android manufacturer (outside of Google) to provide Android 7.1.1. Users may look out for it on their device over the coming days.
