Samsung Galaxy Note had created a lot of hype and anticipation prior to its launch and, as expected, the smartphone or "phablet", did equally well in terms of performance as well as sales. Now that a year has passed by, its successor is about to get launched but there's no official word on it.
Yes folks, Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is on its way to make its presence felt in the market and is still to get all the paparazzi attention that its predecessor got.
Samsung is done away with its biggest launch of the year- Galaxy S3 - yet Galaxy Note 2 is still on many Android enthusiasts' radar. Various speculations and rumors regarding the launch of Galaxy Note 2 have run rife. Reports suggest that the launch is due in August and that the dates would be different for both American and European markets.
Samsung had also sent some mysterious media invites for an event on 15 August describing the launch and unveiling of the all new Galaxy device. This invite fuelled speculation that Samsung was planning to launch its Galaxy Note 2 at the event.
A chance exists that Samsung may announce the tablet in two separate events on August 15 and August 30, respectively. However, the exact confirmation regarding the dates hasn't yet been provided.
Additionally, the American market will be the first one to witness the launch followed by the European and global market on August 30. It can also be speculated that a difference will exist in the two versions, like in the case of Galaxy S3, where the US market got a raw deal with dual-core processors. On the other hand, the European and global markets got the quad-core processor versions.
A lot has also been said regarding the device specs as well, all pointers indicate a 5.5 Inch screen, 3G and 4G LTE support, Exynos 4 Quad or a new Samsung-made quad processor.
Samsung's Galaxy Note is more popular in Europe when compared to the US. The launch first taking place in US market is bound to disappoint the Galaxy Note aficionados in the Europe and rest of the world. However, these are just rumors. Things will only get revealed post the official declaration and confirmation by Samsung.
