"Overwatch" has been gaining momentum on its popularity and has become one of the most favorite games of the year. After releasing new contents through patches, holiday events and skin unlocks, a new character might be introduced as well, Doomfist, according to Video Games Republic.

The characters Ana Amari and Sombra were a welcome addition for the "Overwatch" community. The next possible character to be introduced is Doomfist, which was teased about in the game for quite some time now. Doomfist will serve as a moniker for anyone who uses the gauntlet shown in the cinematic trailer in 2014.

In the trailer, Doomfist's gauntlet was shown as the two boys were exploring the museum. Reaper and Widowmaker try to take the gauntlet from the museum to benefit Talon to some degree.

Interestingly enough, Doomfist was not initially intended to be a major character in "Overwatch," although the name was mentioned a few times in the game and on social media. During a Unity Day celebration, which the city holds each year to honor accomplishments they have made within the community, an in-game Numbani Heritage Museum shows a Doomfist exhibit where many references are scattered on the map.

Three giant banners on the wall each representing a different character wielding the gauntlet; Adhanbu Ngumi, Akinjide Adeyemi and an unknown character referred only as the Successor. It is speculated that this Successor might be the next major character in the game.

Meanwhile, according to Inverse, actor Terry Crews has shown interest in voicing the character Doomfist after the actor visited Blizzard back in December and has recently tweeted about it also. Fans of "Overwatch" should stay tuned as news and development about the game will be delivered.
