Nokia Windows Phone 8 Devices Coming in September: Multi-Core and High Res Screens Onboard

Vamien McKalin

Calmly holding out for the first set of Windows Phone 8 devices, yes? If you are a Nokia fan, you could be a happy camper when September comes around. A report is claiming that Nokia will be the first OEM to kick off the Windows Phone 8's journey to stardom, and all this will happen in September with two devices set to destroy the competition, and hopefully, set Nokia back on track.

The two Nokia devices as claimed by this report, are rocking multi-core processors and high resolution displays. As you might have figured out, Windows Phone 8 supports processors up to 64 core and 720p high resolution displays. This is due to the Windows 8 core, which has been ported over to the platform. Now anything is possible on Windows Phone 8.

With all the work Microsoft has put into getting the Windows Phone platform where it is now, Nokia has to come out with all guns blazing if the company wishes to stay competitive in this ever hostile battle for ecosystems.

We understand that both devices could also be packing Nokia's PureView camera technology; this would most definitely set Nokia Windows Phone 8 devices apart from the horde that is to follow. The Nokia PureView 808 Symbian based handset is the first of its kind, yet while the camera and the tech behind it is pure awesomeness, Symbian was the only thing that seem to push the device back into the days of cave dwellers and dragons. With Windows Phone, Nokia could finally make PureView something of a legend, or so we hope.

While Nokia is expected to be the first to launch a Windows Phone 8 device, and also to have a whole month exclusivity, other manufacturers such as HTC, Samsung, LG, and Huawei, are all saddling up to give Windows Phone another shot at a piece of the pie.

The new Apple iPhone is expected to take the smartphone world by storm when it hits either in September, or some time after. Nokia and its Windows Phone 8 push will have to stand out considerably; doing so ,however, is never an easy task.
