The recently started Special Battle Season 2 for "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" warrants an array of awe-inspiring updates for the players. Introducing a slew of changes to the rules of battles, Special Battle Season 2 kicked off Jan. 17 and is scheduled to run until March 19.

The newly implemented changes to the rules have affected critters that were added via the National Pokedex. Nintendo narrowed the number of legendary and mythical Pokemon that can be used during a battle down to just one per team. The change has majorly affected Battle Spot, Rating Battles, Single Battles and Double Battles.

Although regular battles rules such as all Pokemon above level 50 will be set to 50 still apply, players will be restricted from picking more than 3 Pokemon out of their 6. Moreover, two Pokemon cannot have an identical hold item.

Avid "Pokemon Sun And Moon" players have been restlessly waiting for the National Pokedex that is slated to arrive with the recent update. Much to the delight of avid gamers, the Pokemon bank will let players use their Pokemon from various Pokemon games in "Pokemon Sun And Moon," MNR Daily reported.

It has been confirmed that "Pokemon Sun And Moon" players will be able to transfer their Pokemon from "Pokémon Alpha Sapphire," "Pokémon Omega Ruby," "Pokémon Y" and "Pokémon X." Nintendo has not yet divulged details about their plans for the Pokemon that were received via Poke Transporter.

Meanwhile, "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" have broken records as Game Freaks' hit role-playing video games have been confirmed to be the fastest games to surpass the sales of four million copies, IGN reported.

The combined sales for "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" have reached around 4.5 million copies. Nevertheless, these are mere short-term sales records, and "Pokemon Sun And Moon" are still far from breaking the record of "Pokemon Red" and "Pokemon Blue," which sold a staggering 31.8 million copies.
