All Upcoming Chromebooks Model From 2017 & Beyond Will Now Support Android Apps
Gloven RamosLast year, Google announced that they would bring Android apps to the Chromebook. However, it is only for a certain unit model. Now, Google confirms that all Chromebook that will be released in 2017 and beyond will support all Android apps.
The current Chromebook models that support Android apps are the Asus Chromebook Flip, Acer Chromebook R11 and Google's Chromebook Pixel. Just recently, Google has said that approximately 50% of all devices released in the past two years will be compatible for the apps in the future.
On a CNET report, they cited that a Google spokesperson confirmed that this year, Android apps will be coming to all new released Chromebooks. Though, it may not be available immediately, it will depend on when the Chromebook launches and when Android Apps on Chrome OS is out of Beta.
As reported by Engadget, Adobe announced that it will release 6 free Android Creative Cloud apps as part of a beta for Chrome OS devices that launches this month. For those who already have one of the three Chromebooks that are already suitable for Android software, they can already use these Adobe apps immediately.
