‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 7: Is The June 25 Release Date True?

IMDb has revealed that "Game of Thrones" season 7 will premiere on June 25, 2017 according to a report by Games Radar. Fans of "Game of Thrones" have been waiting for a long time for HBO to make an announcement of the premiere date of season 7. HBO stated that it will be in summer, but no official date has been announced.

The popular TV series has always premiered around April except for season 3 that premiered much earlier than the rest and debuted in March. Season 7 is already expected to be released on a much later date since production started much later than usual and a June 25 date may fit the timeline.

However, fans of the show should not believe the above mentioned date according to Winter Is Coming. IMDb hasn't been the most reliable source on making announcements of when movies and TV shows are being released. The site is updated similar on how Wikipedia is updated wherein any user can make edits. The site then makes a series of consistency checks before being posted.

However, with the huge number of information the site has, the system occasionally makes mistakes. When those mistakes are reported, the site immediately fixes the content.

The June 25 release date may or may not be accurate, but fans are expected not to believe it unless HBO makes an official announcement.

In addition, a lot of speculations have been surfacing recently about what events will take place in season 7. Some reports speculate that Benjen Stark might sacrifice himself to prevent the white Walkers from crossing the wall. Another speculation involves having one of the dragons becoming a powerful ally to the White Walkers.
