If you haven't seen the movie "Split," be warned as there will be spoilers ahead.
Talks of an "Unbreakable" sequel have surfaced after a surprising final scene at the end of the movie "Split." Right before the end credits, the scene was set in a Philadelphia diner and a TV was showing a report about Kevin, played by James McAvoy. A woman in the scene is reminded by the report of another villain which she can't recall the name. Bruce Willis' character Davin Dunn suddenly appears on camera and said to the woman that she was thinking of Mr. Glass, a role played by Samuel L. Jackson in "Unbreakable."
Shyamalan stated that he did this scene on purpose to give way for a sequel to "Unbreakable." He also stated that originally, he was supposed to put a lot of "Unbreakable" Easter eggs in "Split" but ultimately decided against it as it distracts from the movie according to Movie Web. The director might use ideas he wasn't able to use in "Split" and put them in the "Unbreakable" sequel.
The "Unbreakable" remains to be one of Shyamalan's best films to date; a sequel is certainly wonderful news for fans making it a trilogy of sorts.
