'Resident Evil 7' Guide: Beat The Mia Tape Without Getting Caught; Here’s How [VIDEO]
Pia MerciOne fun experience in the "Resident Evil 7" is attempting to escape a large mansion run by the unsettling Baker family who eventually roam the house to look for the player. To help provide clues on solving many puzzles located around the plantation and most importantly, flesh out the story, players can come across and watch VHS tapes.
Players who wish to start this event, they can find the VHS on the second floor of the main house. Once there, search for and go in the Recreation Room.
Fortunately, the tape is located right beside a VHS player and TV, so it would be easier for players to simple pop it in to start the flashback scene. For players to successfully survive this event, they essentially need to survive three specific areas.
After players walk over the bridge and into the shack, they will be directed through an entrance past a large hole on the left. They should continue on walking past a large stack of TVs to go into a hallway with three doors. This would be the first encounter with Marguerite, and given that each of the doors is locked, players are suggested to duck behind the large crate.
During this part, there is no chance to defeat the woman, hence, players will need to stay low and out of sight so the slow walking maniac can go and follow her track and eventually go away. Once the woman's gone, players should go down the hallway through the door where Marguerite initially appeared through.
By going pass the door, it would immediately lead into a room with a projector. Note that this would be the second area where players can be spotted. It is then suggested that players shouldn't stop from looking around and eventually should exit out the back door which leads onto the deck. Marguerite will soon enter the room, so players should stay low.
The deranged individual would apparently continue to slowly look around and continue her insane dialogue. This would be the lengthiest encounter, so players will need to be patient while staying down. She'll eventually retreat back into the house after roughly two minutes.
Players should make sure that the coast is clear before heading back into the projector room and have an interaction with the statue to kick off a shadow puzzle. Players should turn the piece until it forms a spider shadow on the wall after which a secret door begins to open and the final encounter begins.
After players drag themselves through a long and narrow corridor, they will now be able to enter the final room. Marguerite will be appearing once again. Also, players should quickly duck behind the nearest pile of clutter. Otherwise, if they will take too long to hide, they will be definitely spotted by her. Marguerite will be moving around, so gamers should do so too, but discreetly in order to stay out of her line of sight.
As Marguerite moves past the debris, players should head to the back right of the room to be able to find a crawl space. From there, they should follow the main path to reach the end of the encounter and trigger a cut scene. A Can't Catch Me achievement will be also awarded to successful players for their troubles as well.
On the other hand, some "Resident Evil 7" players reported that they were able to quickly choose retry after being spotted and taken back to the nearest checkpoint without losing the achievement. As of the moment, it is still greatly unconfirmed but it would apparently be a valuable option for players who Marguerite get spotted accidently.
