Samsung C24FG70 Curved Screen: Quantum Dot Is A Breakthrough In Gaming Displays
Keisuke AkioSamsung for years has been coating their TVs in the nano-crystal. However, Samsung C24FG70 curved screen has integrated Quantum Dot, the latest gaming monitor is the first-ever to be attached to PCs.
Specifications
Samsung C24FG70 curved screen now features Quantum Dot. The goal of the Quantum Dot filter is to produce a wider color gamut than traditional LCD panels, but that is not the only reason this curved 1080p screen is being advertised as a quality gaming monitor. The filter is intended to expand the breadth of colors the screen is able to display, offering 125% of the standard sRGB spectrum. For games, especially those with bright color palettes, the added vibrancy makes the game shine.
The filter is nestled between the actual LCD panel and the external screen covering. The disseminating Quantum Dot layer supplements the extra color spread to the light the monitor emits. Samsung C24FG70 curved screen uses a standard vertical alignment (VA) panel to produce faster response times, higher refresh rates and more decent viewing angles.
Samsung C24FG70 curved screen has a native 1080p resolution and supports the extra fast 1ms response time with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. With the adaptive sync support, Samsung C24FG70 curved screen presents a seriously smooth gaming experience even on moderately modest graphics hardware.
In addition, the Samsung C24FG70 curved screen has a smart stand with dual-hinge design, which enables the screen to be easily shifted and adjusted to your heart's content. It also creates an illusion of the panel appearing to be afloat above desk.
Performance
Samsung C24FG70 curved screen monitor displays the enhanced vibrancy of several colors. Apart from the clear, distinct colors, the wider color gamut leads to improved contrast. PCGamesn notes that, combined with the 3000:1 contrast ratio of the Samsung panel, the extended color imitation stemming from the Quantum Dot filter adds superior depth as much to darker scenes as to lighter ones.
