Microsoft Surface Pro 5: Device More Advanced Than Apple’s Latest MacBook Pro
Athena DeeMultiple news outlets have stated that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is coming soon. The sudden price cut for the hybrid tablet’s predecessor was reportedly part of the company’s efforts of doing away with old stock prior to the new device’s launch.
According to a report, the Microsoft store in the United Kingdom was the first to hold such program. Consumers could avail of as much as 15 percent off on a variety of Surface Pro 4 models. In the United States, they were being sold with up to $100 off the original price. Australian Microsoft users were treated to a whopping discount of AU$450.
These massive discounts seemed to hint that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is coming. Moreover, another report has pointed out that the device will be coming out of the box with the Windows 10 Creators Update pre-installed. The update was originally scheduled for a 2016 release. However, it was reportedly delayed in order to have a side-by-side launch with Microsoft’s newest products - the Surface Pro 5 expected to be included.
Microsoft has been doing this kind of release for years, since the launch of the Surface Pro 3. That said, the tech industry will not be surprised if Microsoft decides to do the same thing for this year’s product.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 5, which will feature the latest 7th gen Kaby Lake chipsets from Intel, will reportedly be more advanced than Apple’s latest MacBook Pro. The Surface Pro 5’s processors boast of speed and efficient heat dissipation.
According to Forbes, the Surface Pro 5 will have a much better battery life than the MacBook Pro, since the latter only runs on Intel’s 6th gen processors. With a more advanced set of processors, the formerly mentioned device is expected to be more cutting-edge than its strongest rival.
