Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Release Date: Second Launch In India On January 30 And February 3
Athena DeeThe Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 will be having its second launch in India on January 30. This time around, the device will be made available for purchase on two online retailers, namely Mi.com and Flipkart. On February 3rd, however, consumers can only get their hands on the table on Mi.com, the Chinese tech giant’s very own e-commerce portal.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4’s very first release date in India was on January 23. Unfortunately for early buyers, the device was only available in two colors at the time, only gray and gold. It remains unknown whether or not the highly in-demand matt black finish variant will be available in its second sale.
With two sale launches scheduled for India, it has become clear that Xiaomi is viewing India as an significant tech market. After all, Indian Express has confirmed that its budget product line, the Redmi series, had its sales boosted in the past several months.
Apart from the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, it has also been reported that the company will soon be unveiling a high end device in India. Unfortunately, no details have been provided regarding this new mobile device. Xiaomi also previously promised to the Indian tech market that the more budget-friendly Redmi 3S series will be upgraded as well.
These efforts of Xiaomi to spearhead the budget smartphone race in India came after its rivals entered the game. Xiaomi first started dominating the Indian smartphone market in 2014 with the Redmi 1S. This device not only survived in today’s price-conscious tech market, as it reportedly did very well. The Redmi 1S is reported to have set a good precedent for Xiaomi’s premium devices.
Now, however, the company will have to compete with LeEco, Lenovo, Motorola, and Samsung. That said, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 will be going head to head with the OnePlus X, the Moto G4 Plus, the LeEco Le 2, and the Lenovo K5 Note.
